Jessica Barber

Jessica L Barber is a certified yoga teacher who discovered yoga at the age of 18 and began practicing classical hatha yoga consistently more than 10 years ago to overcome and manage pain from scoliosis, injuries, stress, and grief from loss.

Certified through the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in February of 2006, Jessica continuously participates in continuing education, workshops, and she considers herself a lifelong student. She is a member of The International Association of Yoga Therapists and obtained her certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in February of 2012. Jessica integrates evidence based corrective strategy into one-on-one therapeutic yoga sessions to enhance the benefits of yoga and address any misalignment or movement dysfunctions of the body.

In addition to her training at the Sivananda ashram on Paradise Island, Bahamas she has also trained with numerous master teachers in India, Canada, the Caribbean, New York, Arizona, and of course Florida. Locally, she created the first annual Salutation Nation free yoga event with Lululemon Athletica and selected more than 10 yoga ambassadors in the state of Florida for the Vancouver based yoga athletic apparel company. In addition to yoga and corrective exercise Jessica is a novice runner, stand-up paddleboarder, and daily meditation practitioner.

With a love for connecting with and relating to people of all walks of life, Jessica is a compassionate teacher that is committed to the well-being of her students. Knowing the transformative abilities of the body and mind she believes that yoga, taught with proper instruction and practiced with dedication, can benefit anyone, at any age.

Jessica incorporates yoga asanas (yoga poses), pranayama (yogic breathing), mediation, and relaxation into her one-on-one sessions and group classes, with a focus on alignment and functional, safe movement.

Marina Luna

Marina Luna's practice of yoga has spanned for more than a decade. Through yoga, she has found that the greatest way to honor the body is through balance; a balance between strength and grace, movement and stillness, effort and ease. Marina has taught yoga in Asheville, North Carolina; Albany, New York; Brattleboro, Vermont; San Francisco, California; Atlanta, Georgia; and now in beautiful Sarasota, Florida. She finds yoga to beautifully ground her other passion, that of teaching and performing aerial arts, and blended the two by creating the aerial yoga program, Firefly, in 2010. She brings a joyful sense of curiosity to her classes where her love of music and motion is evident.
Synchronizing breath with movement through a series of basic poses and sequences. The flow is designed to develop balance, build strength, and increase flexibility. Class is appropriate for all levels of yoga experience.

Friday:  5:30am - 8:00pm
Saturday:  7:00am - 2:00pm
